Join a Claude Community Event, organized by local enthusiasts for everyone who loves building with Claude!
Kicking off OC Tech Week: a one-day hackathon with Illumination Health + Home at EvoNexus Irvine.
Spend a Saturday building something that matters. Illumination Health + Home (IHH) provides housing, healthcare and case management for people experiencing homelessness across Southern California. Their team is bringing three real problems to the room, and you get one day with Claude to build something that helps.
Pick your challenge
Referral intake. Coordinators review long hospital referral packets by hand. Help them review faster or see where referrals stall, so more people reach recuperative care.
Finding the right resource. Clients often struggle to find community resources that fit their needs, from shelter referrals to job help. Help them find the right one and take the first step.
Staff AI confidence. Build hands-on practice that shows frontline staff where AI helps and how to check its work.
Who should come
All are welcome. Hackathons are changing in light of vibecoding - anyone can build something now. We especially want all developers, designers, data people, and anyone with healthcare, social services or nonprofit operations experience. You don't need to be an engineer. Teams of 4 to 5.
The day
8:30 AM doors and check-in

Registration requires approval. Plan to stay the full day and bring a laptop and charger.
