About Event

Four Saturdays to get you ready for the Claude Certified Developer - Foundations (CCDF) exam.

The CCDF exam is 53 questions in 120 minutes, and you need 720 out of 1000 to pass. Anthropic's blueprint breaks the exam into 8 domains and 25 individually weighted sub-skills, and this course is timed against those weights - not against what is most fun to teach. Applications and Integration alone is a third of the paper.

Sponsored by the Claude Singapore Community. The four sessions are free to attend.

WHO THIS IS FOR

For engineers who build with the Claude API, Claude Code and Model Context Protocol — from first integration to production agents.

Building on Claude — Messages API, Agent SDK, tool use, MCP.

You will get the most out of the four weeks if you are comfortable in Python and/or TypeScript. The exam's scenarios assume it.

COURSE OUTLINE

Week 1 - Sat 24 Oct, 10am to 12pm - Baseline and fundamentals (11.3% of the exam) A timed in-class diagnostic so you leave knowing your two weakest domains. Then Technical Fundamentals and LLM Fundamentals - tokenisation, context windows, latency and throughput. These sit under a domain called "Model Selection" but they are the base layer everything else assumes. You also submit your partner-network email application on the day.

Week 2 - Sat 31 Oct, 10am to 12pm - Applications and Integration (33.1%) The biggest domain, a full session: Claude Application Design, Software Engineering Foundations, Claude API Mechanics, Configuration Management, Understanding Requirements, Systems Life Cycle. Exam booking opens from this week.

Week 3 - Sat 7 Nov, 10am to 12pm - Prompting, tools and agents (30.1%) Prompt Engineering, Context Engineering and Output Handling, then Tool Implementation, and finally Agent Architecture, Agent Construction and Agent Patterns. Tools before agents, deliberately.

Week 4 - Sat 14 Nov, 10am to 12pm - Operating it, then exam craft (25.5%) Agentic Customisation, AI Application Security, Claude Code Operation, Cost and Token Management, Model Selection trade-offs, Debugging, Guardrails, MCP Server Development, Secrets and Key Management, Claude Hooks. Then exam technique and a final drill at real exam pace.

BETWEEN SESSIONS

About Two hours a week - one full timed mock plus targeted drilling. Free practice material, 731 CCDF questions each with a written explanation, at claudearchitects.org. Use Mock mode, not Practice mode: Mock samples to the official weights.

WHAT YOU ARE COMMITTING TO

All four Saturdays. Places are capped at 25 and the sessions build on each other. Booking your exam from week 2, to sit between mid-November and mid-December 2026. If you can no longer attend, tell us early so the seat can go to someone on the waitlist.

GOOD TO KNOW BEFORE YOU BOOK

Retakes carry waiting periods of 14, 30 and 90 days, capped at four attempts in a rolling twelve months, at full fee each time. Your score report gives percent-correct by domain, which is what you use to target a retake. The credential is valid 12 months and renews free via a non-proctored assessment if you do it before it lapses.

WHAT IS SPONSORED, AND WHAT IS NOT

The four sessions are sponsored by the Claude Singapore Community - free to attend.
The @claudecode.sg partner-network email is free. You need one because Anthropic Partner Academy will not accept a personal email address at registration.
The exam fee is USD 125, set by Anthropic and paid directly to them. The community does not pay for your exam.
