Austin Hardtech: Founding Conversation (Invite Only)
We’re launching Austin Hardtech! Our mission is to make it easier to build hardware-enabled businesses, through design, build, and commercialization of physical technology from right here in Texas. This first gathering is a curated, invite-only event and we’d like to invite you to help set the direction of hardtech in Texas. Food and drinks provided.
The goal is to bring together hardware expertise, needs, and enablers:
Compared with established hard-tech centers like the Bay Area and Chicago, where accelerators, labs, corporate partners, and capital are tightly connected, Texas has the ingredients but lacks the connective tissue that brings them together. At the same time, hardware is on the rise nationally, and Austin is #2 nationally for hardware funding. AI-native devices, robotics, climate, and industrial systems are moving from demo to deployment, yet this sector is still underrepresented in Austin. Austin Hardtech exists to expedite connecting the dots so teams can move from concept to prototype to scaled manufacturing (with eventual mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, exits) more efficiently.
By engaging people across all aspects of business:
Leaders from across the ecosystem: enterprise and corporate teams, investors, banks, founders, critical service providers, and advisors.
In a group discussion about the most urgently needed support:
Brief remarks, a guided conversation, curated introductions, and time to connect.
To help every part of the ecosystem:
Help set the first priorities for Austin Hardtech. Your voice will help shape what comes next.
Enterprise and corporate leaders seeking technologies, pilots, or partnerships
Investors who want concise, traction-led updates, due diligence support, and access to deals
Banks with products that help early hardtech teams
Founders building consumer, industrial, or medical devices, AI-enabled hardware, robotics, or industrial systems
Service providers with clear, non-salesy deliverables
Advisors with practical, outcomes-focused experience
And this is part of a broader vision
Austin Hardtech is the founding chapter of Hardtech Texas, a statewide initiative connecting builders, investors, and industry partners who believe in making things that matter.
