​The #BuildQuik Challenge is a 2-week builder sprint where developers turn ideas into real, working apps — deployed live on QuikDB.

By registering, you’re entering the competition and becoming eligible for the live finale.

​📅 Challenge Timeline

• ​Build Phase: May 25 → June 5

• ​Submission Deadline: June 5 (11:59 PM WAT)

• ​Live Finale: June 6, 2026
  📍 AfriLab, Lagos (10:00 AM – 1:00 PM) + Online stream

​Top 5 projects will be selected to demo live at the finale.

​🏆 Prize Pool (₦450,000 + Credits)

• ​🥇 ₦200,000 — 1st place

• ​🥈 ₦100,000 — 2nd place

• ​🥉 ₦50,000 — 3rd place

• ​💸 ₦50,000 Weekly Prizes (2 winners — Week 1 & Week 2)

​Plus QuikDB credits to keep your project live after the challenge.

​💡 What You Can Build

​We’re looking for real, useful applications — not prototypes.

​Eligible project categories:

• ​Developer tools (CLIs, APIs, monitoring dashboards)

• ​SaaS apps (CRMs, schedulers, analytics tools)

• ​AI-powered applications

• ​Community tools (bots, event platforms, dashboards)

• ​Web3 utilities

​🚫 Not eligible:

• ​Static websites or landing pages

• ​Portfolio sites

• ​Tutorial clones with no original value

• ​Projects not deployed on QuikDB

​🧠 Judging Criteria

​Projects will be evaluated based on:

• ​Usefulness (30%) — Does it solve a real problem?

• ​Completeness (25%) — Is it functional end-to-end?

• ​Technical Quality (20%) — Clean implementation and deployment

• ​Creativity (15%) — Originality and innovation

• ​Presentation (10%) — Demo, documentation, and clarity

​📌 Minimum requirement: Your app must be live on QuikDB and usable at the time of judging.

​📍 Lagos

• ​Top 5 teams demo live (5 minutes each)

• ​Judges + audience voting

• ​Winners announced on the spot
