EwR Talks #001 – Fireside Chat about Agentic Development Lifecycle
A 60-minute virtual fireside conversation with three Expats with Roots community members — a software engineer, a data scientist, and a product manager — on how AI-first ways of working are reshaping their day-to-day and the handoffs between them across the Agentic Development Lifecycle (ADLC).
We will dive into concrete 2026 workflows, real shipped examples, what has and hasn’t worked when introducing AI into teams, and where the biggest friction points and opportunities sit between product, engineering, and data.

This session will be hosted by our colleague Mostafa Amer (Staff Architect II at Careem). Joining us on the panel are three experts in their respective fields, each bringing over 15 years of deep experience:

Mahmoud Abdrabo – Data Science Leader in San Francisco
Amal Khalil – Tech Leader at AWS Germany and former CTO of Elmenus in Egypt
There will be ~40 minutes of moderated discussion followed by ~20 minutes of audience Q&A, with questions sourced from the community in advance and live during the session. The session will not be recorded, so the value is in being there live and asking the questions you actually care about.
