📚 Join The Offline Club's first ever Big Fat Reading Fest – a special celebration full of books, (social) reading, games, and 100+ bookworms and wannabe readers ready to connect and have fun. 🤓
To end Summer with a bang, The Offline Club is turning the beautiful, hidden-away Hoftuin into a peaceful offline oasis where over 100 people will come together to lock away their phones, slow down, enjoy focused reading, and connect over books.
*🎟️ This event is donation-based to make it accessible for all incomes. Can't afford the regular €14,50? No worries. Your donation makes it possible to organize this event, and supports our offline movement to make Amsterdam - and the world - more genuinely connected.
What to expect:
📖 Relaxed silent reading time in the garden – bring your fave book, manga, comic or poetry bundle.
🎲 Big Fat Book Bingo & Hitster, Book Edition – fun games to connect with others.
🎨 Pimp Your Own Bookmark station – craft a little something special for your next reading sesh.
📚 A cozy book swap corner and an Author Hot Seat (q&a).
🥪 Enjoy food, drinks & snacks from Dignita – the peaceful café right inside Hoftuin.

This is your time to sit back and enjoy focused reading time, without digital distractions. Slow down, recharge and feel the magic of reading alone, together. Please bring your own book, cartoon, or poetry bundle. Don’t feel like reading? No worries - feel free to get crafty and create your own bookmark.
Connect, have fun, explore (or keep reading)
Chat, connect and play with others, but only if you feel like it. This is your time to meet new people, connect over books, and enjoy meaningful conversations. Join the Big Fat Book Bingo, explore the book swap corner, take part in Hitster Books Edition, make new friends, get creative at the Pimp Your Own Bookmark station, and much more!
About your phone: Your phone will rest in our phone hotel, and we’ll be its body guards. But just so you know, if it magically disappears, learns to fly, or mysteriously breaks, The Offline Club can’t be held responsible. In case you’re not quite ready to let it go, no worries - feel free to turn it off and keep it tucked away, out of sight!
