On my birthday, February 3, I'll be celebrating it with the community and a quiet Hero of Our Time, Avetik Grigoryan, the Man who inspired the AeroSpace in Armenia.

Some heroes don’t stand on podiums. They stand in classrooms, workshops, and laboratories, and patiently build the future while others doubt it.
On February 3, 2026, the Ground Zero Breakfast Series will host a special birthday edition with Avetik Grigoryan — astrophysicist, educator, co-founder of Bazoomq Space Research Laboratory, “Hero of Our Time 2025” award laureate, and the man behind the first Armenian satellite.
For decades, especially when science, aerospace, and long-term thinking were unfashionable and underfunded in Armenia, Avetik Grigoryan chose the harder path:
- He taught
- He mentored
- He built institutions
- He inspired generations of young Armenians to believe that space is not just a dream, but a discipline.
Many of today’s researchers, engineers, and aerospace founders in Armenia trace their first spark back to his classrooms, clubs, lectures, and quiet encouragement.
This breakfast talk is my way of sharing the spotlight and introducing the community to the man behind the strategy:
