About Event

This event is co-hosted by the UW Tech Exploration Lab and the Wisconsin Entrepreneurship Hub and brings together students, founders, industry professionals, alumni, and members of Wisconsin's broader entrepreneurship ecosystem for an evening of connection and celebration.

If you have already registered through ForwardFest, no additional RSVP is required here.

On the program:
3:30-4:00 Check ins and networking

4:15-4:35
Cecily Brose, Innovation and Commercialization Specialist at UW-Madison's new Entrepreneurship Hub, will share the vision for Founder Forward entrepreneurship at Wisconsin and highlight how students, faculty, staff, and community members can tap into campus resources and programs to move ideas forward.

Sandra Bradley, Executive Director of the UW Tech Exploration Lab, will offer a first look at the Lab's fall programming and what's ahead for the year.

A curated group of student founders will have showcase tables during the event, a sampling of the best early-stage ventures at the intersection of applied AI, emerging technology, and real-world problems. Browse tables while taking advantage of open networking and light refreshments.

  • verity.ai — Reads your math/chemistry work as you write it on a tablet, flags the first line where your thinking went wrong, and helps you fix it yourself instead of handing you the answer.

  • VeinSight — A low-cost, AI-assisted system that visualizes veins and ranks potential access sites, helping clinicians reduce failed IV attempts.

  • Praxora — AI-driven clinical simulation and diagnostic games giving medical students low-pressure, on-demand practice interviewing patients and reasoning through cases.

  • BluWorld — Find your QUESTion — the social network of the future, and of today.

  • Lobelia — An AI-powered personal asthma management platform providing personalized risk assessments and context-aware advice based on health data, environmental factors, and daily plans.

  • Flow AI — An intelligent campus information assistant helping students navigate university life more effectively — not just a general-purpose chatbot.

  • EdgeHarness — Makes small, local LLMs reliable for real office tasks by having them plan, check, and correct their own mistakes.

  • Agentic AI Club (student org) —A new student club building useful, consumer-facing products with agentic AI to help automate digital tasks and save time.

  • Transcend (student org) — UW-Madison's premiere student-led entrepreneurship and startup organization, connecting student founders with funding and mentorship.

Whether you're a founder looking for collaborators, an industry professional curious about what's emerging from UW, a student looking to plug into applied innovation, or just someone who wants to be in the room where it's happening, this is the place to be.
