AI Evals Meetup Dakar: AI Evaluation in Public Health Contexts

Join researchers, AI practitioners, designers, public health experts, startups, and ecosystem stakeholders for an evening discussion on AI evaluation in real-world African contexts.

This meetup is a chance to engage with our global team and partners and learn about our Health AI evaluations in Rwanda and Senegal. We will share early insights from the Voice-to-Voice (V2V) project, including findings from our first evaluation of OpenAI's latest voice model in public health contexts. Together, we will explore what it means to evaluate AI systems beyond benchmarks and demos, and how human-centered approaches can help ensure these technologies perform effectively in real-world settings

Discussion topics will include:
• Early findings from the V2V project
• Evaluating voice AI in public health settings
• Human-centered approaches to AI evaluation
• Real-world deployment challenges in African contexts
• Opportunities for collaboration across the AI ecosystem
