Three years in Portugal. One year of M8triarch. April 3rd marks both. Three years to the day since the founder stepped off a plane in Lisbon with conviction and very little certainty.
One full year since M8triarch opened its doors in Graça and became what it has been ever since — a living room for creatives, a space that holds people.
The Salon returns to celebrate.

About The Salon
The Salon is M8triarch's signature gathering — reservation-only, intimate by design, and centered around soft sound, shared presence, and unhurried conversation. Tea is served in rounds.
The room unfolds gently over the evening, with surprise artistic moments woven in — performances, spoken word, or a quiet guest appearance that arrives without announcement.
From April onward, The Salon holds its place every First Friday of the month. —

Tonight also marks the official launch of First Fridays: Graça with M8triarch. Nearly 20 years ago, I was significant contributor to helped build a creative community through First Fridays in Oakland, CA — a monthly gathering that became a heartbeat for artists, makers, and neighbors.
Those roots never left. Now, from a corner of Graça, that rhythm comes home. First Fridays: Graça is a monthly gathering series — M8triarch at the center, a few friends in the neighborhood joining along the way.
