🏗️ Build a real app with Cursor in two hours, even if you have never written code.
Ship It with Cursor is a guided, hands-on workshop created specifically for non-developers and complete beginners. You will follow a beginner-friendly project from start to finish, then personalize it around a problem or idea that matters to you.
After the workshop, stay for food and drinks, share what you built, and meet other curious, like-minded people from the local Cursor community.

Turn plain-language instructions into a working interface
Review and improve what Cursor creates
Recover when something does not work as expected
Customize the finished app and make it your own
You will leave with a working project running locally on your own laptop.
No coding experience is required. Install Node.js 24 LTS before the workshop so the app can run on your laptop. Cursor will help us start the app and guide the build; you do not need Git, deployment or previous terminal experience.
👋 Who this workshop is for
This workshop is for designers, product managers, marketers, founders, operators, students, and other non-technical professionals who want to experience turning an idea into working software.
Previous experimentation with Cursor, AI building tools, or basic code is welcome, but the workshop is not intended for professional software developers or people looking for advanced Cursor workflows.
💻 What you need to bring
Your own laptop and charger
A Mac running macOS 13.5 or newer, or a Windows laptop running Windows 10 or 11
The latest version of Cursor, installed before the event
A Cursor account that you can successfully sign in to
Node.js 24 LTS installed, or an existing compatible version 24 or newer
A payment card and access to any bank verification needed for online payments
Access to the email account you used to register
An up-to-date version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge
The completed preparation checklist sent to approved participants
Setup instructions and the starter project are on our workshop resource page. Download and unzip the starter before arriving; we will use the build prompts together during the workshop.
Please arrive early for the laptop and setup check at the time provided in your confirmation email.
If you are bringing a company-managed laptop, confirm that you are allowed to install and run Cursor and Node.js. If your device does not meet the requirements or setup fails, contact the host before the workshop.
After we check you in, your private workshop credit email will go to your Luma registration address. If you are on Cursor Free, wait for your credit before activating monthly Pro. Checkout requires a card even when the credit covers the payment; check that the amount due today is zero before confirming. Pro is a recurring subscription, and your card may be charged once credit no longer covers the bill. We will show you how to cancel renewal if you only want the first month. Existing paid users should keep their current account and plan. The separate xAI API credits and key setup will be explained during the workshop.
Chromebooks, tablets, and phones cannot be used for this workshop.

The workshop is limited to 40 participants and registration requires approval. Priority will be given to motivated non-developers who meet the equipment and preparation requirements.
Please answer the registration questions carefully. If you are approved but can no longer attend, cancel your registration so that someone from the waitlist can take your place.
