Most of us didn’t stop playing because we grew up.We stopped because we were trained out of it.
And in the process… we lost access to one of the most powerful technologies we have.
Play isn’t frivolous. It’s biological. It rewires the brain, reduces stress, restores connection, and unlocks creativity and resilience.
This is your invitation back.
Not to perform. Not to optimize. Not to “do it right.”
To play.
Together, we’ll step out of roles and into aliveness—through movement, connection, and spontaneous expression. This is a space where your inner child isn’t something to heal…
…it’s something to listen to.
Because flourishing doesn’t come from trying harder. It comes from remembering how to be fully here, fully alive, fully expressed.
Come play.
Speaker:
Carissa Karban, co-founder of Astrapuffs, is an embodied futurist and leadership facilitator. She explores how play, presence, and emotionally intelligent AI can restore connection in an increasingly digital world. Drawing from 15+ years in leadership development, neuroscience, and experiential design, she creates spaces that invite people out of performance and back into aliveness.

This week is hosted by DrawBridge at 2 Embarcadero Center. For nearly 40 years, DrawBridge has brought free, trauma-informed expressive arts programs to children across the Bay Area — many experiencing housing instability — meeting kids where they are and staying long enough to matter. We are guests in their home. drawbridge.org
