The Seattle–Tacoma gateway has an important opportunity to accelerate the transition to electric drayage—the movement of shipping containers between ports and nearby warehouses and distribution centers.
But scaling electric trucks requires more than vehicles and charging infrastructure. It requires collaboration across the freight ecosystem, bringing together cargo owners, trucking companies, logistics providers, charging infrastructure developers, ports and public-sector partners.
