GAME JAM - Planes,Trains, Automobiles

​Come make a board game in one evening!

​We're running our first Game Jam at ARW - "PLANES, TRAINS & AUTOMOBILES"

£50 Ancient Robot Games Shop Vouchers to the game that wins the community vote!

​Work in groups, solo, or make friends to build your craziest and zaniest transportation based game.

​We'll provide the prompts, the bits, the pieces, the paper, the glue, the dice. You provide the creativity.

Details:

• ​Doors at 6pm - Start time between 6:30pm-7pm

• ​Work in a team or if you'd really like to work solo.

  • ​We’ll help form teams for folks who turn up solo and fancy a group.

• ​2hrs-2.5hrs to come up with/make as much of a prototype of a tabletop game as you can

  • ​One page ttrpg, a boardgame, a new mechanic, just a theme - your choice!

• ​We'll provide the space and all the board game pieces to work with.

• ​To start - each game group will randomly pick a mode of transportation from… *crowd goes wild …the bag.

• ​30-45mins to start workshopping ideas and making.

• ​Then another prompt to help get those creative juices flowing.

• ​After 2hrs we'll start to come round to see what's been produced and get a wee play through demo.

• ​We'll ask teams/game builders to make a very short video or written description of their made game and what’s great about it for the community vote.

• ​We'll then put the games to the community vote over a week (maybe two) and the winners will receive a £50 Ancient Robot Games shop voucher!
