Come explore the art of fester and fermentation with our 1st concept lab. Bio-material artists transform bacteria and fungi into living design. Taste fermented dishes where decay becomes delicious. Hands-on demo blurs the line between art, science, and sustenance. Come ready to play, eat, and experience the beautiful breakdown of what nature has to offer.
THE EXPERIENCE
Gather around our bio material artists’ work showcasing with bacterial cellulose and fungal forms that breathe, decay, and metamorphoses. Taste fermented dishes crafted by our chefs. Witness bio-materials that challenge everything you thought design could be—grown, not manufactured; alive, not inert.
Set in a stunning venue with natural lighting, (Sunbeam studio🫶) this one-day-only installation exist in constant transformation—what you see at day time will have shifted by evening.
At 2pm, join a slime mold (😮?!) walkthrough featuring interactive demonstrations where you'll go hands-on with the materials and processes that blur the line between art and science.
As day transitions to night, experience how light transforms the space. Our lighting and experience designer will set the mood for evening, revealing new dimensions of the work as fermentation continues its invisible labor.
