About Event

Join us for a guided bike tour exploring some of Washington, DC’s leading examples of sustainable architecture as part of DC Climate Week. This tour brings together designers and the broader community to experience how sustainability is being meaningfully integrated into high-quality design across the city.

The route will feature a curated selection of recent AIA National Award–winning projects that collectively reflect different approaches to sustainability. Starting from Northwest region and concluding at The Wharf - at each stop, participants will hear directly from project team members about the design process, key sustainability strategies, and lessons learned. In addition to building-scale insights, the tour will also discuss broader urban themes and how our urban fabric is critical to DC's sustainability approach.

While designed as a bike tour, participants who don’t have their own bikes are welcome to rent one, and joining via other modes of transportation is also welcome.

Presented at DC Climate Week, this event is organized in collaboration with AIA and aims to create an engaging, on-the-ground learning experience that connects climate goals with built work in our city.

DC Climate Week is not responsible for this event. It is organized by the organizing group, and being listed on the DCCW calendar is not an endorsement of content or partners.
