On Sunday, 22 November, Main Street Sundays returns for its final edition of 2026 and we’re ending the year with light, local love and a whole lot of festive spirit.
Think a street made for strolling. Music around the next corner. Something delicious to eat. A locally made gift you won’t find anywhere else. Children playing, friends catching up and new memories waiting to happen.
Then, as dusk arrives, we’ll gather for the Main Street Festive Lights Switch-On, a shared countdown, a moment of light and a celebration in the heart of Joburg.

The Festive Giving Edition will also invite you to support underserved inner-city communities through a voluntary giving initiative.
We’ll share the confirmed beneficiary and exactly how to contribute before the event. Giving is entirely optional - no donation is needed to join the celebration.
