AI Engineer Kids Day in Paris
Welcome to our first AI Engineer Kids Day in Paris—we’re thrilled to have you here!
This special event brings together curious young minds and their families for a fun, hands-on introduction to artificial intelligence, coding, and technology. We’re especially excited to welcome Cassandra Chin, an outstanding computer science graduate who has led engaging workshops at conferences around the world and Henry Collie, Technical Curriculum Developer at Neo4j
Together, they’ll guide participants through interactive sessions designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and make complex ideas accessible and fun.
These workshops are recommended for kids aged 9 to 15, and parents are encouraged to join. Whether you’re completely new to AI or already curious about how things work behind the scenes, this is a chance to learn, explore, and create—together.

Phippy’s AI Friend Workshop
Taught by Cassandra Chin
Did you know you can learn how modern applications work while helping Phippy the giraffe on a rescue mission? Based on the book Phippy’s AI Friend: Story and Workshop for Kids and Parents, this hands-on workshop invites kids to help Phippy save his friends after a shipwreck. Along the way, they’ll learn how to wire sensors on a breadboard and write simple code using an Arduino Nano to activate them. Participants will also be introduced to foundational concepts behind how applications run and connect, inspired by Kubernetes—all through a fun, interactive scenario.
Bio: Cassandra Chin is a keynote speaker, author, podcast host, and computer science student. She has led technology workshops for kids at international conferences since age 13 and is passionate about expanding access to tech education for women, minorities, and underserved communities.
AI Gaming with Mistral and MCP. Taught by Henry Collie
In this hands-on workshop, kids will use Mistral and Godot to build and customize their own simple video game. Along the way, they’ll connect their game to an MCP server that keeps track of scores, giving them a fun introduction to how AI, games, and connected tools can work together.
Bio: Henry is a learning designer, copywriter, and creative problem-solver who loves turning complex ideas into engaging learning experiences. He has a knack for making educational content feel approachable, useful, and relevant—whether he’s building courses, developing workshops, or creating content for new audiences. He is especially passionate about using education to create positive change.
What to know before you come:
Please bring your own laptop so you can fully participate in the hands-on activities.
Space is limited, so if you’re unable to attend, please cancel your registration to allow another child to join.
We will be taking photos and videos during the event, which will be shared online and featured at the keynote of the AI Engineer World Fair conference that week. Please let us know if you agree to be included in the registration process.
Parents or guardians will need to be present to sign their child in at the beginning and sign them out at the end of the event.
