turri – The First Coding Agent With The Power Regenerative Software
If your coding agent can repeatedly regenerate software with exactly the same functionality, it means it understands what you are building. This is the point where you can stop thinking about code and focus on maintaining the durable knowledge of your system instead.
Regenerative software is an emerging approach to software development that shifts the focus from maintaining code to describing what a system should do and how it should behave. Based on this information, coding agents can regenerate parts of the code whenever needed.
The concept was introduced by Chad Fowler (more on his blog) and has been gaining attention across the software industry.
turri is an implementation of this approach. It is the first open-source, non-commercial coding agent built with Pi that has the power of regenerative software. During the workshop, we'll demonstrate the benefits of regenerative software and compare this approach with traditional software maintenance. Participants will also get hands-on experience using Turri, applying the regenerative approach to building and changing software themselves.
The team behind turri will also be present as mentors at the Garaza Hackathon the following weekend. This workshop is an opportunity to get a head start, learn how to use the technology effectively, and put it into practice during the hackathon.
