Carbon Markets and Capital Flows Amid Geopolitical Uncertainty

​This gathering will convene select leaders across carbon markets, clean fuels, finance, and policy to discuss how geopolitical uncertainty is reshaping market signals, policy direction, and capital allocation. Fittingly taking place on Earth Day, the conversation will span both compliance markets, including cap-and-invest systems and low-carbon fuel standards, as well as capital flows into carbon projects driven by voluntary and corporate demand, with added focus on emerging investment trends in carbon removals. The evening will include expert interventions from Drew Bohan, Executive Director of the California Energy Commission, and Sydney Vergis, Assistant Division Chief overseeing climate disclosure rules at the California Air Resources Board, and Sebastien Dewarrat, Co-Founder of ClimeFi, alongside informal networking and discussion designed to encourage candid exchange.
