Learning to Oil Paint (landscape)

​Curious about oil painting but not sure where to start?

​Join us for a relaxed, beginner-friendly introduction to oil painting.

​Through a guided landscape study, you'll become familiar with the unique qualities of the medium, including paint handling, brushwork, layering, and colour mixing. The class focuses on building an understanding of atmospheric perspective, creating depth through value and colour, and capturing light, texture, and natural forms using the slow-drying qualities of oil paints.

​No prior experience is required. Whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or looking to explore a new medium, this class offers a welcoming space to learn, experiment, and enjoy the process of landscape painting.

​Materials & Pricing
Your registration of $40 includes all materials needed for the class, including oil paints, brushes, mediums, palettes, and a canvas to take home. If you have your own brushes, paints, or canvas that you'd prefer to work with, you're more than welcome to bring them.

​No experience is necessary—all materials are provided. Just bring your curiosity.
