Data Jam at Index Exchange
Join Index Exchange, Machine Learning Toronto, and PRAKTIKAI for a unique live, collaborative problem-solving event designed for data scientists and machine learning practitioners.
This event draws inspiration from the traditional surgical theatre, where a small group will tackle real-world ML and data science problems live at a whiteboard while an engaged audience observes, contributes, and learns.
What to Expect: Two real-world problems will be explored over the course of the evening, one presented by Index Exchange, one by a partner company
Each problem session (40 minutes) includes:
10 minutes to frame the problem
20 minutes of live collaborative whiteboard work
10 minutes of structured audience participation
This is not about solving the problem completely—it’s about framing it well, exploring approaches, and making meaningful progress together.
Interactive Format:
Open Chair: Audience members can step up at any time to contribute directly at the whiteboard
Live Digital Channel: Submit ideas in real time, with top contributions highlighted during and after the event
