Real Inspiration for Protopian Futures: Toolbuilder Showcase & Mini Writing Workshop
Protopian stories imagine a future that is neither flawless nor catastrophic, but instead workably better than today. It’s about plausible progress rather than perfection or collapse.
But what does “plausible” look like? Join us for a set of lightning talks from people working for technological and social change, and learn about what they’re doing now and the futures for which they’re aiming.
The Protopian Prize is a fiction contest inviting you to share your vision of people working toward liberatory futures, meeting obstacles, and making real change. Whether you’re looking for story ideas, need more details for a work-in-progress, or are just curious, come and get inspired by real-world sources of hope!
