Soulful x A141: Doodle & Yap: The Museum of Me
The Museum of Me
An exhibition of everything that makes you, you.
If your life were a museum, what would you put on display?
The things you love? The memories you hold close? The different versions of yourself you've been?
A while back, I came up with the idea of The Museum of Me during a time when I felt a little lost in life.
I was trying to figure out who I was, what mattered to me, and where I was going. Somewhere along the way, I realised that maybe getting to know ourselves isn't always about figuring out who we want to become, but also remembering all the little things that have made us who we are today.
The things we've loved, the people we've met, the experiences we've collected, and even the parts of ourselves we're still figuring out.
And I thought, wouldn't it be nice if we could share our little museums with one another? 🥹
So that's what this gathering is about!
An afternoon of making art, making new friends, and making little discoveries about ourselves. ♡
No need to be an artist, or have your life figured out. We're all works in progress anyway.
✨ What we'll be doing
🎨 01. Doodle — Curate your own little museum
Imagine yourself as a museum, filled with exhibits that tell the story of who you are.
Using acrylic markers, we'll doodle our own little collections of memories, feelings, dreams, and everything in between.
Here are some exhibits you might find in your museum:
🧸 The Origins — Something your younger self loved.
💗 The Treasures — Something you hold close to your heart.
🪞 The Hidden Room — A side of yourself people rarely see.
🍂 The Archives — Something you've outgrown or left behind.
🌱 The Unfinished Exhibit — Something you're still discovering about yourself.
There's no right or wrong way to create your museum. It can be silly, sentimental, colourful, messy, or a little bit of everything!
💬 02. Yap — Take us on a tour of your museum
Every exhibit has a story, and we'd love to hear yours!
We'll take turns sharing the stories behind our doodles, listening to one another, and getting to know the people around us beyond the usual small talk.
Maybe we'll discover something new about ourselves through someone else's story too.
You can share as much or as little as you feel comfortable with. No pressure, just curious souls getting to know one another. 💌
🔮 03. Oracle — A little message to take home
We'll end our afternoon with a little oracle card pull and reflection.
Think of it as a gentle invitation to look at yourself from a different perspective.
Perhaps you'll walk away with a new thought, a little reminder, or even a new exhibit to add to your museum!
🌷 What we're hoping you'll take away
More than anything, we hope this little gathering gives you space to pause and reconnect with yourself.
To remember the things that make you, you.
To meet new people, exchange stories, and realise that while all our museums look different, we might have more in common than we think.
You don't need to leave with any grand revelations. Sometimes, a lovely conversation, a new friend, or a tiny discovery about yourself is more than enough.
🎨 What to bring?
Just yourself and a little curiosity!
We'll be providing drawing paper and acrylic markers, so you don't need to bring any art supplies.
If you have a journal or sketchbook you'd prefer to doodle in, feel free to bring it along too!
And don't worry if you haven't drawn in years. This isn't an art class, and we're definitely not here to judge anyone's doodles. ♡
