CS 229 -AI/ML
Two days. Laptops open the entire time.
CS 229 is a hands-on AI and machine learning workshop. No slide marathons, no theory you forget by Friday. You write code, break things, and leave with working models you built yourself.
Led by Maaz Khan, AI/ML Engineer at Red Hat. Maaz works on production machine learning systems, so the session is built around how models actually behave outside a notebook.
{paid event}
Day 1 · Mon 10 Aug, 10:00 to 17:30
Core ML mechanics. Data handling, feature work, training loops, and where models quietly fail.
Day 2 · Tue 11 Aug, 10:00 to 17:30
Applied build. You take a model from raw data to something that runs, then evaluate it honestly.
Venue: Seminar Hall, Ground Floor
Bring: a laptop with Python installed and a charger. Setup instructions go out 48 hours before.
Who this is for: anyone who can write basic Python and wants to stop watching tutorials. Prior ML experience is not required. Prior curiosity is.
Seats are limited by hall capacity. Registrations are approved manually.
