CELEBRATION OF FORM & COLOR – NIESSING DESIGN TALK

​At DesignDays.Berlin, Niessing reveals its experimental and unexpected side. New jewelry designs—including Topia Vision, Vivida, Phoenix and the Niessing Spannring Era—will be presented, some of them for the first time.

​How does an idea become jewelry? And what does paper have to do with gold? Nina Friesleben-Laue, Head of Design at Niessing, and Paula Fuss, Spatial Designer, offer insights into the creative process and its translation into space.

​At Niessing, design often begins with something as simple as a line, a sketch or a shape made from paper. From these first ideas, three-dimensional pieces of jewelry emerge in precious metals.

​To mark its 40th anniversary, the Niessing Coil also comes to life and begins to dance—inspired by the Bauhaus and its exploration of form, movement and space. Throughout the store, the Design Table and showcases reveal the journey from the initial idea to the finished piece through sketches, paper forms and samples.
