DevKick 004: Decisions, Decisions · Build with Kev (Jev) and Devin
Decisions, Decisions.
Most of what software does all day is make small calls. Is this spam? Is this customer about to churn? Which of these three is the right answer?
DevKick 004 is a build night for exactly that.
Food, drinks, and a $200 Devin for each attendee to build with.
You'll build with Kev, the open-source decision model family from Jared Palmer, Cognition's VP of Engineering. Kev doesn't write paragraphs. You give it a document and a typed question (yes or no, pick one, score it), and it gives you back probabilities. Use Devin to build the app and Kev to make the call.
Ship something where a model makes one real decision. Then show us what happens when it's wrong.

What to bring A laptop. Apple Silicon can run Kev-4B locally. Everyone else gets a key to a hosted endpoint. Devin credits are provided.
Who it's for Builders. Students, new grads, and engineers who'd rather ship than watch slides. No experience with Kev needed. Nobody has any, it's new.
House rules Free. Demo or it didn't happen.
Capped at 60 builders, so RSVPs are approved. If you can't make it, release your spot.
