About Talk and Speaker
1) Real-Time Data Streaming: The True Foundation for the AI Era by Karthikayan Muthuramalingam, Solutions Engineer at IBM(Confluent)
This talk explores why real-time data streaming is becoming a critical foundation for modern AI systems. Karthikayan will discuss how streaming platforms enable organizations to continuously move, process, and react to data as it is generated—giving AI applications access to fresh, contextual information instead of relying solely on static or batch-processed datasets.
The session will highlight how technologies such as Apache Kafka and Confluent can support event-driven architectures, real-time analytics, and AI/GenAI workloads, helping organizations build intelligent systems that respond to what is happening now, rather than what happened hours or days ago.
Talk 2: Running GPU Clusters at Scale
By Aiman Ismail, Member of Technical Staff at Prime Intellect
About the Talk:
Go behind the scenes of what it takes to run GPU clusters at scale for modern AI workloads. Aiman will share practical insights into the infrastructure that powers large-scale model training and inference, including the operational challenges of keeping GPU clusters reliable, available, and performant.
The session will explore the realities of operating AI infrastructure—from managing distributed GPU resources and failures to supporting demanding training and model-serving workloads at scale.
About the Speaker:
Aiman Ismail is a Member of Technical Staff at Prime Intellect and, in his own words, a “computer janitor trying to make GPU clusters more reliable.”
