About Event

Overview | Hosted by Monica Delores Hooks

The Goodie Nation Community Dinner series is an exclusive, intimate gathering held during SpelHouse Homecoming Weekend, this special Homecoming season dinner brings together Morehouse and Spelman alumni, founders, operators, executives, creators, investors, connectors, ecosystem leaders, and friends of the community for meaningful conversation, relationship building, and professional growth.

Hosted by Monica Delores Hooks, Director of Spelpreneur, this gathering creates space to reconnect with old friends, build relationships with new ones, share what we’re building, and strengthen the connections between the SpelHouse community and Atlanta’s broader entrepreneurial and innovation ecosystem.

Topic: Homecoming, Community & What We Build Next

Homecoming brings people back to Atlanta from across industries, cities, and chapters of life. The opportunity is not simply to reconnect for a weekend, but to turn those relationships into meaningful collaboration, business opportunities, investment, mentorship, and long-term community.

Join Monica Delores Hooks for an intimate dinner during SpelHouse Homecoming Week focused on reconnecting entrepreneurs, alumni, creatives, professionals, and ecosystem leaders while creating space for conversations about what everyone is building, leading, investing in, creating, and working toward next.

As Director of Spelpreneur, Monica works at the intersection of entrepreneurship, innovation, economic opportunity, and the next generation of Spelman founders and leaders. This dinner extends that spirit beyond campus, bringing together people across generations and industries who are invested in building stronger pathways between the SpelHouse community and Atlanta’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Whether you're an alum returning home, a founder building your next company, an executive looking to reconnect with the ecosystem, a creative shaping culture, an investor looking to meet emerging builders, or a community leader looking for new ways to collaborate, this dinner is designed to help turn Homecoming connections into relationships that last beyond the weekend.
