Climate writers: Aboriginal Eco-Walk (plus stay for lunch!)

​Join a beautiful guided bush walk with an Aboriginal Guide and learn how Aboriginal people have been looking after Australian land and waterways for more than 70,000 years.

​Deepen your understanding of connection to country and Aboriginal culture, learn about First Nations approaches to sustainability, and have a hands-on session with Aboriginal tools, weapons, and resources.

​The location will be at The Coal Loader (Waverton) - a sustainability site with views of Sydney harbour. This features a bush tucker garden where you can learn about traditional and contemporary uses of native plants and rock art.

​Plan:

• ​10.15am Arrive at the Coal Leader

• ​10.30am Eco-walk begins

• ​12.30pm (Optional) Stay for lunch (meal not included in ticket)

​To bring:

• ​Comfortable walking shoes

• ​Sunscreen and hat

• ​Water bottle

• ​Raincoat or umbrella if raining
