Co-Designing Neuroinclusive Spaces in Academia
More and more students with ADHD are facing specific challenges in their everyday university life. These are often not just individual struggles that need to be endured, but rather challenges that have structural or systemic causes – which can be addressed together.
In collaboration with the Office for Diversity and Anti-Discrimination, Alex Wolf invites you to a three-part event series where we will:
Day 1: Sharing Space
Thursday, November 20, 2025, 3pm – 6pm
A space for exchange about neurodivergence and ADHD, among people who know and understand it first-hand. This safer space allows us to share our experiences with one another and to make each other feel seen. On the first day, we will take time for exactly that.
Day 2: Workshop – Creating Neuroinclusive Structures
Friday, November 21, 2025, 10am–3pm
In a co-design format, we will collaboratively develop a manifesto for more neuroinclusion at the university. We will discuss concrete ideas on how teaching and study conditions can be better tailored to the diverse needs of our brains, and learn from the experiences of all participants.
FAQs
Do I require an official ADHD diagnosis to participate?
No, everyone is welcome – with or without an official diagnosis. We are aware of how difficult it can be to obtain a diagnosis. Self-diagnosis or even just a suspicion is completely valid.
Can I participate if I’m only available for one of the days?
We recommend taking part in Day 1 and Day 2 in order to benefit from both the exchange and the joint development of structures.
What language will the events be held in?
The events will mainly take place in English. If you feel more comfortable expressing yourself partly in German or another language, we are happy to find solutions together.
What does “Co-Design” mean?
“Co-Design” means that we – as experts of our own lived realities – develop, try out, and evaluate ideas together. This way, we make sure that solutions are practical and genuinely helpful.
Do I need any prior knowledge?
No specific prior knowledge is required. All you need is an interest in neuroinclusive topics and the willingness to engage in the process together with others.
Does participation cost anything?
Participation in all three days is free of charge.
How accessible is the event?
Unfortunately, it was not possible for us to make the anígo SPACE fully accessible. If you have specific access needs (e.g. regarding mobility, lighting, noise levels, break times), please let us know in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
Will there be breaks?
Yes, we will schedule regular breaks to meet the need for rest, exchange, or retreat.
Who can I contact if I have questions?
If you have any questions or specific concerns, please reach out to Alex ([email protected]).
