Collaborative Climate Science Workshop and Academics Panel
As part of Climate Action Week Sydney, join this hands‑on workshop and special panel to deepen your understanding of climate change.
Climate Fresk is an internationally recognised, science‑based workshop that transforms complex climate science into a collaborative, engaging learning experience. Using 42 cards based on the latest IPCC reports, participants work in small teams to map the key drivers, mechanisms and consequences of climate change.
In this 3‑hour event, you will:
· spend 1.5 hours building a shared picture of climate change with a card‑based puzzle,
· enjoy afternoon tea,
· hear from UNSW academics working in climate mitigation, adaptation and behaviour change at UNSW,
· take part in an open conversation on solutions, action, and the role each of us plays in shaping a net‑zero future.
Climate change affects every discipline and every part of society. Whether you work in science, engineering, arts, law, health, business, architecture, social sciences, operations—or are simply curious—this workshop offers a clear, science‑grounded understanding of the climate system and a space to connect with others committed to climate solutions.

Previous participant feedback: “A meeting of experiences, minds, information to distill the complex reality of climate change and the challenges we’re facing. Made me feel like learning and doing more on an individual level and proud that this is happening as UNSW, we have power as individuals and as an institution to make a huge, meaningful contribution to this existential crisis. "
