Park(ing) Day - Spot Registration
Get ready for Park(ing) Day 2025! We are reviving this Cincinnati tradition across multiple neighborhoods and are excited for you to exercise community and creativity in a spot.
What is Park(ing) Day?
Park(ing) Day is a global participatory project where people temporarily repurpose parking spaces and convert them into parks and social spaces to advocate safer, greener, and more equitable streets for people.
What am I signing up for?
You are signing up for a parking spot to repurpose! Create a park to play board games in, set up a barbecue with you and your friends, create an art installation— it's up to you how you want to make the space. We suggest you work in a group of 2-4 people. We will host a virtual kickoff event in August for participants to provide additional resources needed for you to prepare for your spot.
Is this event free?
Expect to pay for parking that day!
I'd like to participate but I don't want to do this alone. Should I still sign up?
Yes! We can help you find and coordinate a group.
What if I don't like the locations?
Please select the best location of the given options; you will be given an opportunity to suggest different locations. If there are enough people who suggest that location, we will add it to our event registration.
While we can't guarantee that a location can be added and believe the best Park(ing) Day experience is one that will be shared with others, there's nothing stopping you from setting up a parklet wherever you are!
What if I don't want to repurpose a parking space?
That's okay! There's no need to register; just come and enjoy the parklets on Park(ing) Day! Follow us on Instagram @civiccincinnati to stay in the loop.
