Solana Across Campuses: Emory
Solana Across Campuses: Emory
Blockchain at Emory is bringing Solana Across Campuses to Goizueta. Come through Thursday, Oct 22 from 6 to 7 PM in Jenkins Courtyard at the Goizueta Foundation Center for a hands-on intro to crypto and Solana.
Free Chick-fil-A, first come first serve.
You don’t need any experience, and you don’t need to be in the club. If you’re curious about crypto, come, whatever your major or school at Emory.
What we’ll cover:
What a blockchain is and why it matters
Why Solana: thousands of transactions per second, under a cent per transaction, built for payments, gaming and finance
Apps people use today, like Jupiter, Kamino, Parcl, Pump.fun and Jito
Where to start if you want to build (Anchor vs. native Rust)
The University Blockchain Conference in Austin, Nov 20 to 21: travel subsidies, 50+ companies including Coinbase, Gemini, Google and Polymarket, and on-site recruiting. Blockchain at Emory is going and we want you there with us.
Live wallet setup: bring your phone, leave with your first Solana wallet and maybe some SOL
This is part of a campus series run by college.xyz and the Solana Foundation at universities around the world. Bring a friend. See you soon.
