About Event

In not really now not anymore, Frances Adair Mckenzie weaves a landscape of synthetic warmth and gridded architecture . Moving through the constant hum of containment, the installation treats thermal exhaust as a quiet gravity—an invisible force drawing swarming life toward computational heat.

A custom animation rig mounted on the ceiling holds a figure suspended in perpetual freefall. A state between weightlessness and collision. A central animated figure speaks directly to a floor-mounted stereoscopic camera, delivering an intimate monologue that navigates the threshold where physical mass is translated into data.

Through filtered light, malleable skins, and low-fi mechanics, Mckenzie resists the myth of the weightless virtual. The work lingers in the heat of archival depositories, asking what language, trapped memory speaks and what slips away when living forms are held in static preservation.
