Flourishing : A Workshop For Co-creative Poetics

​A gathering on poetry, relation, and collective meaning-making. Through writing, conversation, movement, sound, and other multi-art forms, we’ll explore co-creative poetics: the practice of making poems with rather than simply beside one another — responding, witnessing, listening, and creating across shared spaces and experiences.

​Rooted in our shared backgrounds in mental health and wellbeing work, Flourishing asks what it means to move beyond merely functioning, surviving, or producing. Together, we’ll explore creativity as a way of returning to presence, relation, memory, and fuller ways of being.

​No prior writing experience needed; everyone across all capacities is warmly welcomed. Poetry here is not about perfection, but participation.

​Basic materials will be provided, though participants are encouraged to bring any favourite tools or mediums that help them feel most at home in the creative process.

​Facilitated by Tisya Sanchez and Arlina Banana — longtime friends, writers, and mental health & wellbeing practitioners who have continually turned to art as a site of healing, reflection, and renewal.
