In this talk, I will demonstrate how to use the Adapter pattern to make your Rust logic environment-agnostic. We will look at how to define core business traits in Rust that allow your code to switch its "infrastructure" implementation at compile-time.

In this talk, I will show you a real BLE peripheral in Rust on bare metal — no OS, just BLE Rust crates and async/await running on a microcontroller. We will walk through the firmware, the gotchas, and the decisions while you vote from your phones and watch live quiz results render on the LED matrix in front of you.
