London EA Newcomers Meetup
Interested in the ideas of effective altruism but haven’t really connected with the community yet? We got something for you!
What this meetup is
This is a small, friendly social (~10-30 people), giving newcomers the opportunity to:
Meet others who are also new to EA
Learn more about impactful opportunities in London
Ask questions in a relaxed, low-pressure setting
Connect with the organisers of EA UK (Gergő) and Impact First (Alicia), and learn more about the community support we offer, as well as meet our guests.
The goal of these meetups is to make it easier for people to discover and engage with the community.
Who this is for
This event is aimed at both students and professionals who are not yet integrated into the London EA community. For example, you might be a good fit if:
You recently discovered effective altruism and want to learn more
You’ve been reading, listening, or engaging online for years, but haven’t participated much in person
This event is not intended for
People who are already active in the London EA community (e.g. having attended 5+ events)
Those primarily looking for a general social for the existing community
