[Tentative] Multidisciplinary Panel: AI Productivity and Workforce Transformation

​The mission of Modern Lyceum is to bring philosophy back to the public square. For too long, society has been starved of serious philosophical discussions that are accessible to a public audience and pertain to the issues of the times. Modern Lyceum is an attempt to change that.

​Modern Lyceum's format is to assemble a multi-disciplinary panel to discuss a single pressing topic. By multi-disciplinary, I mean someone from history, economics, technology, etc. Philosophy birthed many of the fields of knowledge we know today. Therefore, addressing any philosophical question of the day requires a multi-disciplinary approach.

​The first event will discuss the effects of productivity brought by new technologies such as AI and how this will restructure the workforce to require fewer employees while paying those who remain much more than they are paid today. What ought we to do as a society, as this is already happening and will continue to occur?
