Forest and Friends

Hey folks, we’ve missed a couple months here with a heavy field season keeping me out of town a lot.  This week we’re back on, and it is Climate Week up here in the PNW so a great time to come out and talk forests and startups and climate with us.  We’ll be at Cascadia Pizza from 5-7:30pm on Thursday July 24th (https://www.cascadiapizzaco.com/bellevue) and would love to have you join us.  We get together each month to talk about GIS, environmental impacts of action, environmental impacts of inaction, and the implications of policies shaping our local and regional forests.

There has been a big fake-out over the last couple months around public lands and what to do about wildfire, especially important now that we’re getting into fire season in the US (Canada already well underway with more acres burned than last year – but less than 2023).  As we look towards what is real and what we can do we’ve got to stay grounded and always be getting through the it – and that’s thirsty work.

Feel free to join us for pizza and a pint as we talk about climate! We’ll be geeking out, enjoying the taplist, menu, and friendship while we talk forests, startups, GIS, policy, etc.  I’ll be wearing a hardhat and cruising vest – feel free to walk right up and join our table – we’ll be trying to claim the patio out back weather permitting.
