A Semifinal Night at Curry 66 with Benny
Some places in Berlin have a soul.
Curry 66 in Friedrichshain is one of them.
Open for over 20 years, covered wall to wall in football scarves from clubs across the world, and run by Benny, a man whose life revolves as much around football as it does around his Currywurst shop.
He's also our upcoming guest on Späti Stories, and on July 15th, he's closing the shop early — just for us.
In partnership with the Indie Football community, we're taking over Curry 66 for an evening of food, football talk, good people, and the World Cup semifinal on the big screen. Andrew Weber, founder of the Berlin Indie Football Festival and SFC Unicorns Friedrichshain, will also be there.
Your ticket includes a voucher for a Currywurst mit Pommes (vegan sausage available!) combo. We'll kick off the evening with a short dive into the history of Currywurst in Berlin, keep the rest loose, and close the night with a raffle of Späti Stories and Indie Football merch — followed by the World Cup semifinal together, scheduled so far for 9pm.
This is a meet-up, so come as you are.
