About Event

New media art and electronic music — out of the gallery, out of the club, into the square.

The hotel wall adjacent to Rossio Gardens is roughly 13 × 5 metres. We saw it and we thought it would be great for projection. It has never been used for a cultural programme.

Tonight it will be.

BLUE HOUR is an early-evening outdoor format that brings digital art and curated electronic soundscapes into the open air of Lisbon's city centre — creating an unexpected space for connection and creative encounter before the night takes over.

This is Edition 1. The format is new. Projections on this wall for the first time. We are learning what this can be — and we are starting in public.

Open stage — 19:00 to 21:00

An open session where DJs share new work with a live audience.
Part sound journey, part groovie evening kickoff, this will warm up the mood.

Performers:
OOPSIE doesn't mix in traditional contexts. A sailboat in Valencia. A château in Burgundy. An Olympic ski jump in Bosnia. A forest in Portugal… Whether at 80 or 150 BPM: unexpected, genre-fluid, always with a groove. She's also the founder of Lisbon Connection Week

DJ ROMANO IN PORTUGAL moves beyond genres. Kid of music school owners, he plays piano and keyboards, with roots in rock, soul, R&B and house. Soulful, organic, refined and elegant. Music for dancing, pure listening and focus. Art Director and founder of DRIP EVENTS.

Sound and image show — 21:00 to 23:00

As darkness settles over the square, a curated programme of sound and original large-scale visual work by RNA Studio takes over the façade. This is new territory — for the wall, for the square, for the city.

Performers to be announced.

Why BLUE HOUR exists

A small proof that original contemporary art can happen in a public square on a simple weekday evening. That you don't need a gallery, a festival wristband, or a late night to experience something real.

The projection is visible from Rossio for free. A ticket brings you inside — into the full programme, a high-fidelity sound system, direct contact with the artists, a welcome drink, and space to gather comfortably under the open sky.

This is where it starts.

Edition #1 is the origin point. The programme will grow, the format will evolve, the wall will speak differently each time. What you're joining tonight is the beginning.

More editions to come.

About the organizers

The first edition took place across Lisbon, Caparica, and Ericeira in April–May 2026. BLUE HOUR extends the festival's programming into a year-round cultural format, supported by DRIP Events for operational coordination, sound and music programming.
