Bringing the Doughnut Home: San Francisco Meets California’s New Economics Snapshot
Join the growing San Francisco Doughnut Economics community at Trellis Coworking Space in San Francisco for an open, welcoming, by-donation gathering to explore the newly released California Doughnut Economics Snapshot and in-depth report from the California Doughnut Economics team, presented by Julian Kraus-Polk and Franziska Raedeker (two of the snapshot's designers).
This interactive event will introduce the California Doughnut—what it shows, how it was created, and why it matters—followed by plenty of time for questions and collective sense-making.
Together, we’ll explore how this statewide work can inform the next step: developing a Doughnut Economics portrait for San Francisco that reflects our city’s unique social and ecological realities.
We’ll also share a potluck meal, mix and mingle with fellow organizers, practitioners, and curious neighbors, and break into working groups for those interested in helping grow the Doughnut Economics movement in San Francisco—whether through research, storytelling, policy, community engagement, disaster resilience planning, or creative action.
No prior knowledge required—just curiosity, care for people and planet, and a dish to share if you can.
