Alex and his colleagues have published a series of essays on Systemic Impact, and together we will dive deeper into essay #2, which argues that nonprofits need to recognize that they compete in markets. They also need to compete in shaping the policies of systems that govern how markets operate. Finally, some nonprofits are positioning themselves to provide critical infrastructure support to a market instead of or in addition to competing in it.
