The Fortune Collective Juneteenth Cookout
A Celebration of Black Joy, Culture, and Community
This summer, The Fortune Collective invites you to gather for a beautiful Juneteenth celebration honoring freedom, culture, and the joy of being together.
We’re hosting a nostalgic backyard cookout at a stunning private estate in Somerset County, New Jersey, complete with a pool, outdoor kitchen, and plenty of space to relax, dance, and enjoy good food in community.
This gathering is intentionally created for Black women and their children to celebrate Juneteenth in a space centered on culture, connection, and collective joy.
Think the cookouts many of us grew up with: grilled burgers and chicken, potato salad and mac & cheese, music in the air, kids playing, spades and domino tables, laughter, and line dancing under the summer sun.
We’ll also be serving a classic East Coast summer favorite: Maryland blue crabs, alongside a delicious cookout spread of traditional dishes and grilled favorites.
Guests are welcome to bring their favorite beverages (BYOB), and we’ll provide the food, music, games, and a beautiful setting to gather, relax, and celebrate.
Children are welcome, and we’ll have space for families to enjoy the day together.
At the end of the day, we’ll pause briefly for a Freedom Toast honoring our ancestors and the generations who made this celebration possible.
Come dressed in your favorite summer look and join us for an afternoon filled with good energy, meaningful connection, and Black joy. Don't forget your bathing suit, pool floats, and swim safety devices for your child(ren).
Location details will be shared with confirmed guests prior to the event.
You will not be charged until we reach our minimum guest count and you are approved to attend.
