Instead of our usual first-Sunday-of-the month meeting, we will change things up for November and gather on Saturday, 11/8 — it’s the last day of the festive TPF Sale Event!
November is the ideal planting time for natives — it ensures that they can get firmly established during our rainy season. It’s also when the TPF nursery is brimming with inventory. Great way to get some “sage” advice on your plant selection from the incredibly knowledgable TPF staff, as well as from fellow Laurel Canyon native gardeners.
Optional: we can gather earlier, between 9 and 10AM, at Rise N Shine Cafe, a cute retro breakfast spot located nearby at 9685 Sunland Blvd. We can then carpool up to the sale, since parking at TPF Nursery can be a challenge during the sale.
And bring friends — spread the word about native plants!

Please note: This visit will be held outdoors in the TPF sales yard and demonstration gardens. Be sure to wear mulch-friendly shoes and sunblock!
The 9 to 10AM meeting time is for convening in Sunland at Rise N Shine Cafe. From 10AM to noon, we will be up at Theodore Payne Foundation Nursery. We can even carpool from Laurel Canyon — just reply to this email with your name, address, and phone number.
