About Event

Spring isn’t the only thing changing. What’s shifting in you? Join this free, therapist-led haiku workshop to find out.

Spring changes slowly. Longer light. Birds chirping. Things quietly coming back to life.

But what might be shifting in you too?

This workshop is for anyone who’s feeling the shift of a new season and wants a moment to slow down and reflect. If you’re curious about what’s been unfolding for you lately, and want a gentle, creative way to notice it, this hour is for you.

On March 25th at 7 PM, join Shift Collab therapist Stephanie Gorrill for a free virtual workshop exploring mindfulness through haiku poetry. No poetry or meditation experience needed. No pressure to sit still and clear your mind. Just three lines at a time.

Haiku was traditionally written to notice seasonal change. In this workshop, we’ll use that same structure to notice internal shifts. The subtle ones. The hard ones. The hopeful ones.

The dead plant that suddenly grows a new bud. The sun lingering a little longer in the evening. The small internal shift you almost missed. This is mindfulness in a grounding, practical form. Not about emptying your mind. About noticing what’s already here.

You’ll leave with:

✅ A new way to practice mindfulness that doesn’t feel forced
✅ A few short poems you wrote yourself
✅ A better sense of what’s been shifting in you
✅ A take-home digital Haiku Mindfulness Worksheet with prompts to keep the noticing going
✅ Maybe some new friends and connections

This is a reflective, educational space. Not group therapy. Come curious. Come skeptical. Come ready to connect. Come exactly as you are.

Meet Your Host: Stephanie Gorrill

Stephanie Gorrill (she/her) is a Registered Psychotherapist at Shift Collab who supports people navigating high-stress careers, grief, loss, and major life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, she worked as a first responder, giving her a deep understanding of how important it is to have space to pause, reflect, and process what life throws at us.

Stephanie often incorporates creativity, reflection, and practical tools into her work, helping people slow down and notice what’s happening beneath the surface. Whether through conversation, storytelling, or small reflective practices like poetry, her goal is to help people connect with themselves in ways that feel approachable and meaningful.

Outside of work, Stephanie loves getting lost in a good book, spending time with her niece, and sharing meals with good company.

Stephanie is currently accepting new clients.
