An UNMUTED Dialogue: Is the West Still the West?
Is the West Still the West?
A Moderated Discussion with Rudina Hajdari and Mike Goldfarb
For 75 years, the transatlantic alliance defined the global order. It took one presidency to throw it all into question. Was the break inevitable, or did we let something worth saving fall apart?
Rudina Hajdari is a former member of the Albanian Parliament who chaired Albania's EU Integration Committee and negotiated her country's path toward the European Union. The daughter of Azem Hajdari, whose student movement helped topple communism in Albania, she has spent her career at the intersection of American power and European democracy. She is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and leads the International Democracy Fellowship at the Institute for Global Affairs.
Mike Goldfarb is a Democratic candidate for Congress in New York's 9th District. A Harvard graduate, former Blackstone analyst, and tech executive, he is part of a new generation entering American politics at a moment when the foreign policy consensus that shaped both parties for decades no longer holds.
The evening includes a moderated discussion, audience Q&A, and small group conversations.
UNMUTED is a discussion forum for the politically curious, where talking points go to die. In person only.
