dear reader - november

join us for our november dear reader meeting as we dive into beautiful little fools by jillian cantor.

on a sultry august day in 1922, jay gatsby is shot dead in his west egg swimming pool. to the police, it appears to be an open-and-shut case of murder/suicide when the body of george wilson, a local mechanic, is found in the woods nearby. then a diamond hairpin is discovered in the bushes by the pool, and three women fall under suspicion. all three of their lives are on the brink of unraveling, but each woman is pulled deeper into jay gatsby’s romantic obsession, with devastating consequences for all of them.

we'll spend the evening talking about our favorite moments, whether you liked it or hated it, and the connection to the original great gatsby, as well as taylor's songs about the roaring 20's.

we'll also have plenty of time to get to know fellow local swifties who love books just as much as they love taylor!

sourdough snacks will be provided. just bring yourself, your theories, and your copy of the book if you'd like to reference it during the discussion.

can't finish the book before november 22nd? that's okay! you're still welcome to join us wherever you are in the book. just keep in mind that there will be spoilers during the discussion.

dear reader is about finding the stories that stay with us, sharing them with people who understand why they matter, and finding a little taylor magic along the way.

i can't wait to spend the evening talking books, mysteries, and all things beautiful little fools with you!
