Tech Together: Diversity in the AI era
🗓️ Agenda
6:00 – 6:30 PM — Arrival & check-in
6:30 – 6:40 PM — Opening remarks
6:40 – 7:10 PM — From Prompting to Fine-Tuning: Building LLM Solutions at Criteo by Ségolène Denjoy.
When is prompting enough, and when is fine-tuning worth it? Using real-world Criteo use cases, I'll share the key steps of building LLM solutions and the constraints that drive our choices along the way7:10 – 7:40 PM — Environmental impacts of sensor networks in buildings by Marina GRADVOHL.
Smart devices and automation systems are often used to manage facilities efficiently and reduce their energy consumption, but how can we quantify the effects that come from the deployment and use of those systems? We'll discuss initial evaluation methods and optimization strategies as a result from the research so far.7:40 – 8 PM — Interactive panel: Diversity in the AI era
8 PM — Networking & drinks
🗣️ Speakers
Ségolène Denjoy is a Software Development Engineer at Criteo, where she has contributed to several ML-based initiatives, including Audience Agent, ML-based audiences, and audience recommendation systems. More recently, she has focused on LLM annotation projects for filtering and enrichment, where model quality, cost, and production constraints directly shape the technical choices.
Marina Gradvohl is a researcher on wireless connectivity technologies with Schneider Electric and the University of Grenoble Alpes. She studies the environmental impacts related to sensor networks and how to optimize their deployments in different scenarios.
